Newses Maker

by 르딘

Tricked by the words “healing game,” Heyeon starts playing Märchen Horizon. She expected a peaceful, heartwarming life with cute animals. Instead, what greeted her were strange, unidentifiable monsters— and veteran players obsessed with raising newbies, even going so far as to pickpocket them! [‘He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named’ has requested a trade.] “…Why?” “Please accept the trade, okay? Please accept it, newbie!” With a reluctant expression, Heyeon went ahead and accepted the trade request for now. The moment a grid-like window popped up in front of her, it began filling with all sorts of items. “It’s the Newbie Settlement Fund! It’s our tradition!” What the heck is that. Why are you inventing a settlement fund system the game company itself never even created. What kind of tradition is that supposed to be? Feeling bewildered, Heyeon went ahead and canceled the trade. He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named was utterly shocked by her decision. “Why! Why did you refuse! Did you not like it? Was it not enough? Newbie! Don’t go! If you head into the forest with nothing, it’ll be dangerous!” [‘He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named’ has requested a trade. Declined.] [You have been targeted by the skill .] “…What?” [You have obtained ×150.] [You have obtained ×200.] [You have obtained ×50.] [You have obtained .] [You have obtained .] [You have obtained .] [Achievement unlocked: ] [Achievement Effect: When townspeople see you, for some reason they will feel pity and want to help you.] “Then, newbie! Adios!” The pickpocket swirled his black cloak and disappeared. “…He must be insane.”
