A boy has three strict rules for his childhood friend: no calling him 'big brother' in public, no doing anything together publicly, and no revealing they live together. The younger boy obediently follows, pretending they are strangers at school. But when he collapses from an asthma attack during a ceremony, the older boy's composure shatters. A forum post later exposes their hidden relationship. Their story began years ago when the younger boy, a mixed-race child unable to speak Chinese well, was brought home. From kindergarten onward, he clung to the older boy, once innocently asking about a sister-in-law, leading to a comical misunderstanding about their bond.
