Guide S-Class Sentinels? I'd Rather Be Eaten by Zombies!

by Xoxo_Peace

How would a mother react while holding her baby as zombies tear into her? Would she scream? Beg for help? Or fight until her last breath just to keep her child alive? Vivian did it all. Still, she died after spending five years in the apocalypse, with her newborn baby in her arms, betrayed by the people she trusted most. But when she opened her eyes again, she found herself in the past, five months before the apocalypse began. This time, Vivian knew exactly what was coming. And she wasn’t going to make the same mistakes twice. She would make money, stockpile supplies, find a safe place, and prepare for the day the world fell apart. There was one problem. She had awakened as a Guide. The very people Vivian hated the most. Days before the apocalypse, every Guide and Sentinel in the city suddenly disappeared. They abandoned humanity. And Vivian would never forgive them. Determined to find out why they disappeared, Vivian enters the Guide and Sentinel academy while secretly building her fortune with a mysterious inheritance left behind by her mother. But as her business grows, so does the attention around her. Especially from four powerful S-class Sentinels who seem determined to give her everything she needs. Vivian doesn’t want their protection. She doesn’t want their gifts. And she definitely doesn’t want to guide them. Then, Guides begin disappearing inside the academy. And soon, Vivian realizes someone isn’t just killing Guides. They’re hunting them. The nightmare she thought she had five months to prepare for may have already begun. If she can’t uncover the truth, the apocalypse won’t wait for her. The world will fall. And this time, Vivian may not even live long enough to see it happen. Unless the Sentinels protect her first. Unfortunately for Vivian, they seem very determined to do that. “I would rather let the zombies eat me alive than guide any of you.” The four Sentinels stared at her. One raised an eyebrow. Another smiled. A third stepped closer. The last one reached for her hand. Vivian looked at all four of them. She had five months to stop the apocalypse, and uncover the truth. She also had five months to figure out how to get four dangerously obsessed S-class Sentinels to stop following her everywhere. The zombies could wait. These men were already driving her insane. “I already said I’m not babysitting cowards.”
