Death Game Show: The Pretty Lunatic

by Shen Shi Jia

This novel plunges players into a deadly game show, challenging the typical Werewolf game narrative. While most stories see kind villagers triumph, what happens when the protagonist draws the Werewolf card? This story follows a hidden boss Shou, Wei Zixu, who, despite his formidable power, chooses to masquerade as an innocent newbie. His unusual behavior catches the attention of Peng Minze, a powerful and loyal Gong, who confronts him about his motives. Wei Zixu's playful response reveals a deeper desire: "I want to sleep with you." The male lead, Peng Minze, is a morally ambiguous and deeply flawed character, described by the author as a "scumbag" with a heavy karmic burden. The narrative explores a twisted worldview, blending elements of horror, mystery, and science fiction. While the author's synopsis is playful, the novel initially features no established pairing, though a true love and a happy ending are promised for those who are patient. Expect fantastical and unverified scientific elements, as the author, a fan of science fiction, weaves them into this dark and suspenseful survival game.
