I Had No Plan of Imprinting on Him

by Hongjeory

I was reincarnated as a tiny beastkin from a family that gets brutally killed by the male lead because of my irresponsible older sister. If the story followed the original plot, I was doomed to die because my sister would stand by while the male lead went berserk. So, with no other choice, I entered the Grand Duke’s household in her place. “Pyat!” The problem was… I’m a fennec fox, so I can’t even talk. — After countless twists and turns, I managed to stop the male lead’s first scheduled rampage and even succeeded in transforming into a human. Now that the five-year contract was over, I was about to return home—when the male lead went berserk again. But a reincarnator with five years of experience doesn’t get flustered by something like that! I easily stopped his rampage, but then something felt strange with my body. “It’s an imprint.” “Excuse me?” “Judging by the symptoms, an imprinting has occurred. If you stay apart for too long, your life will be in danger.” “W-What do you mean by that?! Then are you saying we have to stay together every single day? That’s impossible! People need their own personal time!” The physician looked at my wildly shaking eyes and spoke with a face full of pity. “In that case, the only thing left for you is death.” Seeing the dumbfounded look on my face at his words, he smiled. “I told you, Poblean.” “……” “In the end, the place you’ll return to is by my side.” …But I never planned on imprinting.
