After dying young, a man wakes up as the new emperor of a crumbling alien empire on the brink of destruction. Before he can adjust, a handsome soldier in white uniform pins him down with a laser gun to his head, demanding his death. Stunned, the emperor realizes the soldier looks exactly like the virtual character he painstakingly raised in a game. Meanwhile, the soldier has a secret: he can hear the voice of a mysterious god who saved him from slavery. He grows obsessed with this voice, unaware that the god is the very emperor he now threatens. When the god asks what he would do if they met, the soldier kneels in loyalty - but harbors a deeper, wilder ambition.
