Crafting Gear From Monster Genes

by Arlemit

In a world where Genes were the most important thing, Kreyn gained the ability to use them to create Gear, Abilities, and even Mutations that could grant him powers and help him with his evolution. [Gene Forge is now open! Select a gene to begin creation!] But it wasn’t always like that. Kreyn failed his Awakening and was thrown out of the research center like trash. A gene that fell from the sky changed his life, for the worse, as he immediately had to fight for his life in a bloodbath. For all other Hunters, the monsters were a threat, but for Kreyn, they were an opportunity to obtain a new gene and become stronger, to create something new. “Alright, it’s time to use the genes I’ve collected!” Kreyn exclaimed, activating the Gene Forge. And then— [You have created the Crimson Sword from the Blood Reaper Gene!] [You have created the mutation, Lightning-Fast Reflexes, from the Electric Lizard Gene!] [You have created the ability, Flaming Strike, from the Sacred Bull Gene!] All Kreyn needed were genes and upgrades for his forge. He would continue to create as long as there were monsters in the world, collecting more and more rare and unique genes until he found that one legendary gene!
