by 불꽃

The traded pitcher is bursting with talent novel introduces Han Min-woo, a professional baseball pitcher who was once a highly-touted first-round draft pick with the Busan Dolphins but whose career was derailed by a severe head injury from a line drive and subsequent shoulder surgery and trauma. After rehabilitation and public service, he returned to the field, but a lingering fear of the first-team mound led to a terrible professional record (0 wins, 8 losses, 13 holds, 1 save, and a career ERA of 13.14) and the nickname “The Harbinger of Defeat”. His pitching speed dropped from 158 km/h to 137 km/h. Min-woo is then abruptly traded to the Seoul Wolves, a last-place team, as part of a 1 to 2 trade for star right fielder Yoo Seong-jong. Fans and even his new coaches view him as a “useless guy” and a “defective” player with no future in the league. Upon joining the Wolves, a miracle occurs: the interface of his favorite childhood baseball game, “BnB,” appears in his vision. The BnB system allows him to gain Special Abilities by spending “points” earned from pitching in official games or completing daily quests. He is immediately put on the first-team roster and designated as a mop-up pitcher. His debut comes unexpectedly in the third inning of a losing game after the starter is injured. Before pitching, he is granted a free special ability: . This ability significantly increases his mental strength, eliminating the fear and trauma that had crippled his career. With his newfound mental fortitude, Min-woo performs brilliantly, holding the league-leading Gochuk Crocodiles scoreless for three innings and recording six strikeouts. His performance includes striking out three batters in a row and getting past the Crocodiles’ core lineup, even after two consecutive defensive errors by his teammates. During his appearance, he completes a “Surprise Quest” to escape a bases-loaded situation, earning him 500 P. He uses his accumulated points to acquire his second special ability, . His impressive outing helps spark a comeback victory for the Wolves. The day after, he acquires a third ability, . Min-woo is promoted from mop-up duty to being a pitcher used in crisis situations, covering about one inning, marking the beginning of his journey to become a great player.
