For the ten-million-dollar prize, Darian is grinding through a massive virtual game called “Marvel World.” What he doesn’t realize is that from the moment the game began, he was already transported into the real Marvel Universe; becoming its only player. From cutting deals with Tony Stark to outsmarting Hydra agents and walking straight into S.H.I.E.L.D.’s crosshairs, Darian treats every encounter like a quest to be cleared and every hero like an NPC with loot to drop. To everyone else, he’s an unpredictable anomaly, but to himself, just a gamer following the mechanics. Nick Fury: Darian is an excellent agent, but he's a bit of a snob. Every time a mission is issued, he skips over it. Tony Stark: I can't believe it! The other day, Darian and I teamed up, and I came back with only my underwear left. Banner: I'm the exact opposite. My only underwear was stolen, and in a rage, I transformed into the Hulk, making headlines that evening. Thor: Darian claims he's reached 1000 Justice Points, then he raised my Mjölnir Hammer and ran off... When the world questions his methods, Darian just shrugs and says, “I’m just playing by the rules.”
