Leave the Villainous Second Male Lead Alone

by 홍아리

“The Villainous Second Male Lead Destined to Die Tragically, Etienne. That’s the character I found myself reincarnated as in a dark BL novel.” As a publishing director specializing in BL novels, I once encouraged the author to ramp up the misery in their story. Now, I’ve somehow been thrust into that very tale, with a death flag hanging over my head. With no apparent way to return to my original world, I decided to adapt to my new reality. My plan? Live a quiet, virtuous life while raising the future obsessive male lead, Callisto, so he can live happily ever after with the main protagonist. But from the very beginning, things didn’t go as smoothly as I’d hoped. “Why are you looking for me? What are you planning to do?” “What do you mean, what am I planning to do?” “You’re going to torment me, aren’t you? Make me kneel, hit me, and even torture me in water!” Callisto, convinced by a nightmare where I supposedly tortured him in the future, flinched at the mere sight of me from our very first meeting. Insisting it was just a ridiculous dream, I set out to care for this budding obsessive maniac. “You’ll stay with me, right? From now on, always? Forever?” “Of course, I will. I’ll be by your side forever.” Initially, my only goal was to avoid dying, but as time passed, I found myself genuinely wishing for this adorable child’s happiness. However, as the days went by, Callisto’s gaze toward me began to shift in a way that felt far from innocent… One day, he shyly placed a flower ring on my finger and said: “Hyung, when I grow up… will you marry me?”
