Reunion

by Ban Tiet Bach Thai

Meng Qianqian decides to return to university, unsure if her motivation stems from personal ambition or a lingering attachment to Ying Hao. Despite her uncertainty, she successfully enrolls at Ying Hao University. However, her hopes are quickly dashed when she discovers that Ying Hao, a student in the finance department, is already dating the department's campus belle. Her friend, Zhou Qiao, had once warned her about Ying Hao's playboy tendencies and his inability to commit to a future. Though Meng Qianqian had always known this truth, she had refused to acknowledge it until now. Witnessing his new relationship firsthand finally allows her to slowly let go of her long-held obsession. Known for her simple and kind nature, Meng Qianqian, a Human Resources Management student, is often seen feeding stray cats and dogs, finding solace in their company. One day, Ying Hao, on a date with his girlfriend, opens a door only to find Meng Qianqian squatting on the ground, her hair in a ponytail. The unexpected reunion leaves Ying Hao stunned. Meng Qianqian, after gently stroking a cat, rises and walks past him calmly, offering no greeting or acknowledgment. This story explores themes of second chances, regret, and personal growth, featuring wealthy families, favored individuals, and industry elites striving for a dedicated life.
