Eight centuries ago, thousands of dimensional rifts opened worldwide, unleashing hordes of monsters. Some were colossal beasts capable of demolishing walls and devouring humans. Others latched onto people, draining their nutrients and enslaving them. A few infiltrated cities, disguising themselves as humans while feeding on blood. In a single night, humanity fell to the bottom of the food chain. The world became a paradise for monsters.
