The last deep-sea monster of her kind reaches adulthood only to find no males remain in the ocean. She climbs ashore seeking a human male to mate with, intending to return to the sea to lay eggs. But she discovers human males are not the type to leave after mating; they cling and refuse to let go. Her policy of flirt, run, and deny leads to panicked escapes. In high school, she targets a promising male for a passionate encounter, only to flee again. The door to commitment is welded shut - no one gets out today.
