Readers Are Leaving

by Baek Yi-deum

I was possessed into a depressing novel where the female lead dies at the hands of the male protagonist. Right. I just need to avoid getting involved with the main characters and stay as inconspicuous as possible! But then…… —“They kept calling her the villainess, so I thought she’d actually do something, but turns out she’s just an extra?” —“Why is she getting so much screen time? This doesn’t make sense. I’m dropping this.” 《Warning! After possession, the protagonist is doing nothing, and readers are starting to drop the story!》 《Take appropriate action to bring back the lost readers!》 Worse still, if reader drop-off continues, I’ll lose my presence—and die?! In the end, Selestin reluctantly begins intervening in the plot. And then— “Lady Selestin, I hope you will stay by my side for a long, long time. I really like you.” Asha, the heroine who is supposed to dislike her, confesses affection. “…From now on, stay within my sight at all times. If you wander off somewhere I can’t see, I might lose you.” And the crown prince Devaltin, the male lead she was supposed to avoid, keeps getting involved with her as well. Something about this story is going very strangely…… ‘But who cares? As long as I can attract readers, right?’
