Impure Instinct

by Kim Ju-won

“Do friends sleep together? Make a baby too?” “Why did you leave me alone? Our pregnancy is your responsibility as well.” Chae I-ryeong, who was dumped in the worst way possible. She regrets not being the one to end things first and proudly walks away, telling herself it won’t be humiliating. “Chae I-ryeong? What are you doing here?” “… Manager Seo?” She runs into her company superior, Seo I-jun. “I only helped because you seemed troubled. Was that enough?” “Why didn’t you just say you wanted to cry? If you had, I wouldn’t have left you alone.” Embarrassed to show her ugly side to I-jun, I-ryeong feels awkward. Yet, he alternates between coldness and tenderness, showing her an attitude she can’t understand. In response to his behavior, I-ryeong resolves not to misunderstand and tries to distance herself… “From this moment on, I plan to actively court you.” “Wh-what are you talking about!” “If dating is troublesome, we can just get married.” This man, with his indifferent expression, saying he wants to date her—he’s truly crazy.
