Herald wakes in a ruined land with no memories, a mystical staff he somehow knows how to wield, and a curse left by Yamaraj, the god of death. Everyone he meets seems to know the person he used to be, but no one is willing to tell him the whole truth. Some even seem more afraid of his memories returning than Herald is of never getting them back. In a world where Siddhas awaken powers tied to gods, kingdoms wage wars behind massive walls while Ashuras roam beyond them. At the same time, something strange is happening. Old gods are disappearing, new ones are taking their places, and pieces of history are slowly being erased. Herald only wants to know who he was and why Yamaraj cursed him. But the more he learns about his past, the clearer it becomes that his memories were never lost by accident. Someone needed him to forget, and whatever Herald once knew may be connected to the disappearing gods, the coming wars, and the reason this world keeps repeating the same cycle.
