Author’s Note: Hey everyone! Just a heads-up, I’ll be doing a major revision of the novel, so you might notice some changes here and there. If you notice anything weird, missing, or that doesn’t make sense, feel free to point it out in the comments! Thanks for your support and understanding! ——————————————————— “I only wanted a peaceful life. Somehow, I ended up building a harem of walking war crimes.” Riven Vex died once. His reward for dying? Being thrown into a strange world where steam-powered cities, mechanical limbs, Aether magic, monsters, airships, and mad scientists are all perfectly normal. Unfortunately, Riven has nothing. No money. No family. No power. Until a strange System awakens inside him. [Infinite Upgrade System Activated.] [Anything can be upgraded.] At first, Riven is satisfied with upgrading his rusty pistol. Then he discovers something far more interesting. People can be upgraded too. A wounded gunslinger with a broken mechanical arm becomes a terrifying sharpshooter. A timid maid becomes a silent clockwork assassin. A disgraced noblewoman awakens overwhelming Aether magic. A street thief becomes faster than a bullet. And before Riven realizes it, the women around him have gone from helpless survivors to monsters capable of tearing through armies. With their growing strength, Riven forms his own airship crew. They explore forbidden ruins. Raid floating fortresses. Hunt supernatural monsters. Fight powerful organizations. And occasionally cause enough destruction to make entire nations put bounties on their heads. But there’s one small problem. The System has a hidden mechanic. The stronger Riven becomes, the stronger the enemies that notice him. What begins as a simple journey to survive quickly turns into a war against corporations, nobles, empires, monsters, and things that should never have awakened. Riven wanted to become strong. Instead, he created a crew of beautiful monsters. And somehow… he’s their captain.
